Sharpened wooden pencil with a cellulose capsule at the end that holds seeds. Once it is too short to write with, plant it with its capsule in some soil: after 2 to 3 weeks, the seeds germinate and grow into flowers, herbs or vegetables, depending on the variety chosen. The name of the plant is engraved on the pencil. It contains no lead. Made in Poland.
Product certifications
Its manufacturing site is SMETA audited. Its brand is a certified B Corporation (company certification verified by B Lab). The pencil is planted at the end of its life: its capsule releases seeds, and it is made in Poland, within the European Union. The brand states that it uses wood from FSC or PEFC certified forests; we have not verified that last point with any certifying body.
