Most of our products carry at least one third-party environmental certification: GOTS (organic cotton), GRS (recycled materials), OCS, FSC (wood and paper), RCS (recycled content) or OEKO-TEX (no harmful substances). Every product page shows exactly which labels that product holds. Some of our products carry no certification at all: their supplier declares none, or their material is covered by no label we have been able to verify. For those, the page shows the material as declared by the supplier, stated as such, and, where it exists, the factory’s social audit (BSCI, SMETA). We also publish the country of manufacture. No self-declaration dressed up as proof: when a statement comes from a brand or a supplier, we write it as such.

Three different things, which we never mix. A material certification is issued by a third-party body that has audited the chain, from raw material to finished product: GOTS, GRS, OCS, RCS, FSC, OEKO-TEX. A social audit covers the manufacturing site and its working conditions, not the material: BSCI, SMETA. A brand with a concept is neither of the two: its argument is what it does, a donation, a partner workshop, a social enterprise. We name the brand, and we separate what a third party has verified from what the brand states itself. One point deserves to be said plainly: Sustainity holds no certificate of its own and claims none. The certifications shown are the ones the supplier holds for that specific product, and every product page states which.

Because we would rather write it than dress it up. Three cases occur: the supplier declares no label, the material is covered by no standard we have been able to verify, or the brand carries a documented concept without holding a certificate. These products stay in the catalogue when what they are holds up without a label, and their page says so plainly, with no green vocabulary to compensate. The exact count is published on the Commitments page and recalculated on every render: it moves with the catalogue, so we do not freeze it here.

GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) is the most demanding certification for organic textiles. It covers the entire manufacturing chain, from cotton cultivation to the finished product, including working conditions and chemical inputs. A GOTS-certified T-shirt or sweatshirt guarantees that the cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides and that every step has been audited by an independent body. It is the benchmark label for genuinely sustainable textile promotional products.

Production takes 12 to 25 working days, depending on the product, the decoration technique, the quantity and colour availability. The clock starts when you sign off the proof, not when you order: what comes before that depends on our exchanges and on your feedback on the mock-up. The exact lead time for your order is calculated in your quotation, and that is the one that counts.
