How much do 100 custom T-shirts cost for a company?
A quote for custom textiles comes down to three lines: the T-shirt, the branding per piece, and the set-up costs of the artwork. None of the three can be guessed, and the third explains why a small quantity costs proportionally more. The amounts, taken from our catalogue, and the calculation to redo them yourself.
At a glance
About €820 to €1,000 excl. VAT for 100 custom T-shirts, screen printed in one colour, one artwork, one placement. Shipping not included, taken from our catalogue on 14 September 2026. The amount breaks down into three lines: the T-shirt itself, the branding charged per piece, and the set-up costs of the artwork, payable once whatever the quantity.
The gap between the two ends comes entirely from the branding: the T-shirt is counted at the median price of the fifteen references in the T-shirt range, the same at both ends of the price range. What follows explains what moves each of the three lines, and by how much.
How much do 100 custom T-shirts cost?
Between €820 and €1,000 excl. VAT, or €8.20 to €10.00 excl. VAT per branded T-shirt. That is the amount for one-colour screen printing on one placement, excluding shipping and VAT.
This figure is not a price chosen for marketing: it is the median price of the fifteen T-shirts in our catalogue at this quantity, plus the branding price range and the set-up costs we publish, then rounded to the nearest ten euros. It is recalculated every time the range page is displayed, and it moves when the catalogue moves.
How the price breaks down
| Line | At 100 pieces | What makes it vary |
|---|---|---|
| The T-shirt | the largest share of the total | weight, cut, fibre certification, colour |
| The branding, per piece | €0.65 to €2.30 excl. VAT | technique, number of colours, quantity |
| The set-up costs, per artwork | €45.50 to €51.80 excl. VAT | once per artwork and per order, not per piece |
| Total | €820 to €1,000 excl. VAT | shipping not included |
A second colour adds its own set-up costs. So does a second placement. That is why a two-colour logo on the chest and on the back does not cost twice the price of a simple logo: it costs four lines of set-up costs.
Why is the price range so wide?
Because the branding is itself published as a range, not because the T-shirts differ. Both ends count the same T-shirt, at the median price of the T-shirt range. The whole gap between €820 and €1,000 comes from the screen printing: €0.65 to €2.30 per piece, and €45.50 to €51.80 in set-up costs.
The exact branding amount depends on the artwork and on the fabric it goes on. It is confirmed on the mock-up, together with the quote.
The price of the T-shirt, for its part, is not part of that gap, but it varies far more from one reference to another. Each product page shows its own price per tier. The range in this article is an order of magnitude for budgeting; the product page gives the exact figure.
And for sweatshirts, hoodies or tote bags?
| Product | Technique | 100 branded pieces |
|---|---|---|
| T-shirts | screen printing | €820 to €1,000 excl. VAT |
| Tote bags | screen printing | €900 to €1,080 excl. VAT |
| Beanies | embroidery | €980 to €1,010 excl. VAT |
| Caps | embroidery | €1,080 to €1,110 excl. VAT |
| Bucket hats | embroidery | €1,210 to €1,250 excl. VAT |
| Sweatshirts | screen printing | €2,300 to €2,480 excl. VAT |
| Duffel bags | embroidery | €3,080 to €3,110 excl. VAT |
| Hoodies | screen printing | €3,020 to €3,200 excl. VAT |
| Laptop bags | embroidery | €3,260 to €3,300 excl. VAT |
| Jackets | embroidery | €4,930 to €4,970 excl. VAT |
| Backpacks | embroidery | €5,060 to €5,100 excl. VAT |
The price ranges for embroidered items are much narrower than those for screen-printed items, and the product has nothing to do with it: on each line, both ends count the same product, at the median price of its range. The gap is the branding gap. Our published embroidery range for a simple logo is narrow, €2.95 to €3.20 per piece at 100 units, whereas the one for screen printing on textiles runs from €0.65 to €2.30.
Why don’t 200 pieces cost twice as much as 100?
Because the set-up costs are payable once, and the price per piece falls in tiers. The €45.50 to €51.80 excl. VAT for preparing the artwork is spread over the quantity ordered: it weighs €0.91 to €1.04 on each piece of an order of 50, and €0.09 to €0.10 on each piece of an order of 500.
The branding itself follows the same curve. For one-colour screen printing on textiles, our published ranges give €1.05 to €2.85 per piece at 50 units, €0.65 to €2.30 at 100, €0.50 to €1.85 at 250 and €0.45 to €1.65 at 500. The price of the textile falls at the same time, in tiers specific to each reference and shown on its product page.
In practical terms for a budget: it is between 50 and 100 pieces that the price per branded piece falls the most, partly because the set-up costs are halved there. Beyond that, the price keeps falling, but more and more slowly.
Does the branding weigh as much as the T-shirt?
No. On an order of 100 T-shirts screen printed in one colour, the branding and its set-up costs make up 13 to 28% of the total. The rest, 72 to 87%, is the textile.
That is useful to know when making trade-offs. Switching from one-colour screen printing to embroidery changes the total by about €100 to €250 on 100 pieces; switching from the cheapest reference in the range to the most expensive changes it by more than €1,500. The choice of textile sets the budget, the choice of branding fine-tunes it.
What these amounts include
- The product, at the price of the tier matching the quantity ordered.
- The branding of one artwork, on one placement, in the technique shown.
- The set-up costs of that artwork, payable once per order.
- The mock-up, sent before production and free of charge.
- The amounts exclude VAT.
Not included: shipping, a second colour, a second placement, individual packaging, and samples requested before ordering.
How much time should you allow before an event?
12 to 25 working days between mock-up approval and delivery, depending on the product, the branding technique, the quantity and colour availability. The priced quote goes out within 24 to 48 hours on business days after the request.
For an event with a fixed date, the safe rule is to count back from the delivery date you need, adding the time your own internal approval of the artwork will take.
The full process, from brief to delivery, is described on our process page.

Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum order for custom T-shirts?
Fifty pieces, for each of the fifteen references in the range as of 14 September 2026. The minimum is specific to each reference and shown on its product page.
Does the price include VAT?
No. All published amounts exclude VAT.
Does a two-colour logo cost twice as much?
No, but it adds a second set of set-up costs and a second screen printing pass. On a small quantity the difference shows; on a large one it thins out.
Can the branding go in two places, for example on the chest and on the back?
Yes. Each placement is a separate artwork, with its own set-up costs.
Are the T-shirts certified?
As of 14 September 2026, nine of the fifteen references carry an organic fibre certification, GOTS or OCS, another one a recycled content certification, GRS, and thirteen are tested to OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100. Each product page says which; our commitments publish the counts for the whole catalogue, recalculated every time they are displayed.
Are these prices guaranteed?
No. They are orders of magnitude taken on a given date. The quote, sent within 24 to 48 hours on business days, is the only firm amount.
The amounts in this article are selling prices excluding VAT, taken from our catalogue on 14 September 2026, and given as orders of magnitude. They do not constitute an offer. Only a named quote commits to a price.
